Since 1972 Wellesley ABC has opened doors to greater educational opportunities for academically talented and promising young women of color. These scholars attend Wellesley High School and live in a family style home with tutoring, meals, medical and social/emotional support. The program is overseen by resident directors and an army of volunteers.

"The ABC program has long been an integral part of the Wellesley High School community. The relationships forged between and among participating scholars, their peers, and host families, strengthen our school community and represent our core values in action."
Dr. David F. Lussier, Superintendent, Wellesley Public Schools
"Having the ABC scholars as part of Wellesley High School has been a gift for us. Each girl brings with her a fresh set of experiences and talents. Each in her own way adds a dimension to our community that otherwise would have been missed."
Dr. Jamie Chisum, Principal, Wellesley High School
